Just a reminder that the first ever McAndrew Reunion Iowa Bike (McRIB) will be held on Friday, July 1st. So far we have 10 crazy cousins scheduled to ride starting no later than 9:00 a.m. at the home of Jim and Diane Tiedje. Our home is located at 2720 Emerald Ct. in west Davenport. We will be riding a total of 53 miles to Maquoketa, with stops along the way at Donahue, Dixon, Toronto and Lost Nation. Hi everyone, I had an idea that I ran past Paul a couple of months ago but wanted to share with everyone and hopefully get input and help from those interested. I would like to do a sort of interview with the 4 remaining Elders - this came out of a conversation that Bob and I witnessed at reunion 2009 - a discussion about what Grandpa McAndrew's first Tractor was and when he got it - it was a discussion between Rose and Paul Sr. and Paul nailed it with the year, make and model - but it got me thinking about how much fun it would be to get all of them together and just throw out questions or topics and see what stories, information etc. would come out. What I'm asking in the way of help is ideas for questions, topics - even along the line of stories you've heard from your parents and want clarification on. Hi everyone, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins by the dozens - Bob and I are planning/hoping to attend the reunion this summer and combine the trip with an extended vacation. I'm looking for some input from some of the more "local" of the realtives. We'll drive from CT to IA, then would like to go on to see Mt. Rushmore/Yellowstone/Black Hills and circle back through Minnesota possibly stopping to see the Bremhorst side of the family in the Minneapolis area. Obviously, we're not planning on seeing everything listed above, but would definately like to see Mt. Rushmore. Suggestions? Any insight would be appreciated. Love to all - MB |

Sorry for the lateness in getting this site updated. Everything is now current for the 2009 reunion. You have to check out the Things To Do and see a bunch of little-known sites you may want to visit on your trip to Iowa. We're also in the beginning stages of putting together a list and lyrics from past talent show songs. Check out Songs of the Years (granted it only includes 3 so far). | The Noel family is planning a family vacation out to the reunion this summer! The girls asked Santa for tickets to Disneyland and Sea World, and the jolly fella came through for them. So, we will arrive in the area the week prior to the reunion and do the Disney and Sea World things prior to the reunion. If anyone else is going to be in either of those places the week before the reunion, let us know! Maybe Mickey and Minnie would take a picture with all of us! Both Sarah's and Megan's volleyball teams qualified for USAV nationals which will be held from June 30 to July 7 in Minneapolis. Never fails...next year's tourney will probably be in California. | Greetings to all the McAndrew kin! Our oldest, Becky, just found out she will spend next year in Ireland. She attends St. Mary's, Notre Dame, and they have a sister school just west of Dublin. It looks like my family will be planning a trip abroad and will miss the reunion. You have done a great job planning and the folks back in Iowa will have a tough time topping this reunion in two years! Have a great time this summer- we will miss the corny jokes and Irish ballads.
